John Gale Biography
Having received his MBA from Northern Illinois University, John Gale first major experience as business executive was at International Thomson Information, where he became Vice President and Chief Technology Officer between 1982 and 1985.
In 1985, he became President of Information Workstation Group, managing the company’s operations and list of clients, which included Apple, European Patent Office, IBM, Lockheed Martin, Loral, Office of Technology Assessment of the Congress of the United States, Toshiba, Unisys, etc. He held that position until 1999.
In 2000, John joined Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs as Director. Founded in 1995, The Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs is the largest nonprofit association in Northern California dedicated exclusively to helping technology entrepreneurs. John is currently a Director Emeritus. Previously, he was a member of the Board of Directors and later the Advisory Board. Previously he chaired the monthly program and other programs.
From 2000 and 2014, John Gale made a name in Silicon Valley, having executive roles in different companies and organizations, including Director of Silicon Valley Engineering Council or Director of IEEE Consultants Network of Silicon Valley, among others.
In 2011, he joined Carverlon as CEO. As the CEO of the company, he oversees the company’s daily operations, including realizing their mission of providing advisory and corporate development services to Hitech Startups between their 1st Seed Round and their A Round in Europe. This is a role he keeps on performing.
As an entrepreneur, John Gale founded Taligo LLC in Silicon Valley in 1999. It supports American startups and Intrapreneurs. Taligo’s clients include Arrow Electronics, NEC (Japan), Photonic Power Systems (acquired by JDS Uniphase), TechBA (a start-up accelerator funded by the Government of Mexico), etc.
